synth/drum machine in 2002. a Yamaha DJX II.
What a bargain. Add a Sony MD Walkman recorder and a stereo
mic on a length of broom stale, a wet, muggy summer, and Suffolk.
Mix with 4 channel stereo mixer, running on an 80% exhausted battery.
Keep day job.

Restaurant chatter picked up with a stereo mic on a stick, outside a
Woodbridge restaurant. Indigenous birdsong recorded in Ipswich.

Assorted terrestrial TV and radio samples, including extracts
from a documentary on the Rendlesham UFO incident ...
